GRAMMY'S GIFTS
For those who know Louise Weeks, remember her generosity and willingness to always give back and help those in need. Whether it was the shirt off her back or her last $5 bill, Louise was always there to help. Around Christmas time, Louise would dress up in a Santa Clause outfit, and deliver Christmas presents to kids and families in the community. To honour "Grammy's" legacy, we have created Grammy's Gifts, a toy/gift fundraiser to give back to kids and families in Prince Edward Island over the holidays. During the month of December, her grandkids will be collecting toys and gifts through a toy drive, and all items will be delivered to families who could use a little bit of extra help to ensure all kids in our community have a joyful Christmas. All donations can be dropped off at Allan Weeks Real Estate Co. in Hunter River, or contact one of our family members to arrange toys to be picked up. Allan Weeks Real Estate Co. is located at 4298 Rte 13, Hunter River, on the corner across from the Hunter River Irving. When I announced I was starting Grammy's Gifts, I had my fingers crossed that I would be able to come across a photo of Grammy dressed up as Santa. Last Christmas we received this photo, and I could not be happier!
Grammy loved getting dressed up as Santa and going to visit local families in the community, as well as her grandkids. I am very proud to start Grammy's Gifts in memory of her, and I know how pleased she would be that there's going to be lots of happy kids Christmas morning all because of her generosity and the impact she's had on so many. It has been so nice to hear all of the stories, comments, and memories of Grammy dressing up as Santa, and to hear first hand from those who received visits many years ago is truly special.
